Why “Vamos”?
The name isn’t an accident. Vamos — Spanish for “let’s go” — captures exactly what this practice stands for, in three ways.
First, it’s about movement. Many people who come here feel stuck — caught in cycles of anxiety, OCD, or life transitions that make the next step feel impossible. Vamos is the belief that forward is possible.
Second, vamos is inherently plural. It doesn’t mean “you go” — it means we go. We live in a culture that expects us to handle things alone, to push through without asking for help. But some things we can’t do in isolation. We need others. We need community. Vamos is built on that truth.
And third, vamos carries something you don’t always find in a clinical setting: energy. Encouragement. The spirit of someone next to you saying, let’s do this. That’s the tone of every session here.

I’m Karin — a licensed mental health counselor with over a decade of experience helping people face what feels too hard to face alone.
My path to this work wasn’t accidental. Professional experiences early in my career fundamentally changed how I understood anxiety, OCD, and what it actually takes to help someone move through it. Evidence-based approaches like ERP aren’t just techniques I was trained in — they’re frameworks I’ve seen transform lives, and they’re at the center of how I work.
Over the years I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of people: professionals from different industries, first-, second-, and third-generation immigrants, expats, teachers, therapists, and adults who are ready to start a new chapter. What they have in common isn’t just a diagnosis — it’s that they’re insightful, motivated, and ready to do real work.
This practice was built with you in mind. It’s bilingual — English and Spanish — because the language you use to describe your inner life matters. It’s virtual because your time matters. And it’s warm, direct, and goal-oriented, because that’s what actually moves the needle.
